Our volunteer Elder Board will join the pastors at the highest level of church leadership. They will focus on spiritual leadership and big decisions.

Deacon Board Members – Effective August 2026
Below is a list of our deacon board members, and the role descriptions for each deacon position.
Also, in addition to their specialized responsibilities, all deacons take part in monthly leadership discussions that determine the direction of the church.
 Sam Geng | TREASURER – Overall goal is to support other ministries by taking care of financial details – Helps church members to reimburse their expenses in a timely manner – Helps collect funds for camps and transfer funds to the CVBC treasury team |
 Tim Nguyen  Jason Nguyen | WORSHIP – Overall goal is to make the worship ministry a blessing to the volunteers AND to the rest of the church – Schedules the worship teams, manages team rosters – Responds to changes in the schedules of worship team members – Supports new volunteers with information and encouragement – Integrates beginner-level musicians while striving for overall musical excellence – Recruits new people for the band and for techs – Supports the staff tech specialist when they needs help – Helps organize events like quarterly worship conferences, or the annual retreat, or Learn and Grow jam sessions |
 Nancy Vo | INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS – Overall goal is to make information useful and accessible for everyone in the church – Collects weekly announcements from the board and relays them to the tech team – Leads the team of worship directors – Publishes a calendar of church events; tries to keep the church informed about upcoming events |
 Oscar Yip | EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS – Overall goal is to use electronic media to reach people outside our church community – Generates content for various electronic media, including our website; Facebook; Instagram; YouTube – Troubleshoots problems for our electronic media |
 Huyen Hou  Japneet Walia | EVENTS – Overall goal is to make information useful and accessible for everyone in the church – Collects weekly announcements from the board and relays them to the tech team – Leads the team of worship directors – Publishes a calendar of church events |
 Kai Truong | ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT – Overall goal is to identify needs that are not officially the responsibility of any leader, and to find solutions to those needs. – Supports other deacons, elders, and staff when they request help. |
